Dr. Sheila E Hellman, DO, with the Wellness Associates of Arkansas medical clinic will be the keynote speaker for the May 2013 Craighead Out of the Dark Coalition meeting.

Dr. Hellman’s family practice, Wellness Associates of Arkansas, is located in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and unlike many physicians in Northeast Arkansas, she has contributed a part of her practice to helping people and their families overcome drug addiction to prescription drugs. On May 16, 2013, Dr. Hellman will give a presentation to the community about the advances in the medicated assisted treatment of the illness of prescription drug addiction to the CODC. The meeting will also include community committee updates and a presentation by ASU students about the on campus expansion of Out of the Dark at Arkansas State University.

The meeting is scheduled for this Thursday, May 16, 2013 and will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Mid-South Health Systems, 2707 Browns Ln., Jonesboro, Arkansas. CODC meetings are open to the public and for those that intend to eat lunch should RSVP at OD Coalition page at www.outofthedark.org.
