ORTHODONTIST COLLECTING CANDY FOR AMERICAN TROOPS LOCAL ORTHODONTIST COLLECTING CANDY FOR AMERICAN TROOPS IN OPERATION GRATITUDE TREATS FOR THE TROOPS CANDY BUY BACK A local Orthodontist is collecting excess Halloween candy to be donated to American troops overseas. Northeast Arkansas Orthodontist Benjamin Burris, at Braces by Burris located in Jonesboro, Paragould, Blytheville, Forrest City and West Memphis, is giving $1 per pound of candy donated, up to 5 pounds. The offices have collected more than a ton of candy since the program began in 2006. Donations are shipped to Operation Gratitude, which forwards holiday care packages to American troops. Letters, notes and drawings of gratitude will also be accepted and sent with care packages. Candy will be collected from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 1 through Nov. 9 in every Braces by Burris office. Donated candy must be wrapped and unopened. Chocolate candy can not be accepted. Participants must be 18 years or younger to participate. # # # Locations: Blytheville
