Cloud Atlas opened this weekend with box office earnings over $9 million and an all-star cast; two very good signs of a great film. And it surely does not disappoint. The movie – which is actually six stories spread out across time – explores the importance and relevance of actions and consequences as they impact people’s past, present, and future. It is full of action, suspense, mystery, and romance and is sure to entertain anyone who sees it. Each character may be shaped from a killer to a hero and each action could ripple the effects of kindness or start a war.

Whether you follow the synopsis or not, this is a film you won’t want to pass up because of the impeccable acting of Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, and Susan Sarandon to name a select few. From the beginning you will be catapulted into the heaviest part of the story’s thread and slowly but surely, the bits and pieces of each story will pull together to weave a much stronger narrative that is much easier to follow.

I loved Cloud Atlas and highly recommend that people see it for themselves. A movie like this is far too difficult to explain without fear of giving too much away. However, I will say it will not disappoint and it is sure to become a classic.
