Junior Auxiliary Hosts Community Wide Baby Shower The Provisional Class of Junior Auxiliary is hosting a community wide baby shower to benefit the Pregnancy Resource Center of Jonesboro. The center recently moved to its new location at 910 South Main and is accepting items for its "Wee Store" located within the center. The Provisional Class is asking for the community to donate the top five items commonly needed by the Pregnancy Resource Center: diapers, bottles, formula and onsies. The need for the fifth item, diaper wipes, was met by local manufacturer, Nice-Pak, who donated four pallets, totalling 200 boxes of wipes. "We are extremely grateful to Nice-Pak for meeting this need," said Courtney Winters, Junior Auxiliary Provisional. "Because of their generosity, we were able to meet the needs of many other Junior Auxiliary service projects and non-profits in the community, including LOCK Box, The Learning Center, First Baptist Care Center, PACES, Inc., Abilities Unlimited, and Motherhood of Jonesboro in addition to the Pregnancy Resource Center donation. Donations for the Pregnancy Resource Center are being taken through Nov. 12 at Posey Peddler, Southern Eye Associates, Trim the Tree and J. Christopher Toys. Donations of other items, including baby food and clothes, can be dropped off anytime at the Pregnancy Resource Center, 910 South Main. [+] add comment |
