Harry Potter Midnight Showing First off, I am not going to spoil ANYTHING about the movie, so don't worry. You can read this post, watch the attached video and still retain the magic whenever you do get to experience the movie. I'll leave the reviews to Lacey Hawkins next week on Monday Popcorn. I can't wait to see what she thought! What were you doing at midnight? Sleeping? Watching late night infomercials? How about hanging out with some of Jonesboro's most dedicated Harry Potter fans at the Malco Hollywood's midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2? My sister and I did just that. We'd never been to a midnight showing before, so we decided that the final installment of Harry Potter was "just the ticket." Courtney dyed her hair red, carried around a giant chocolate bar and went as Ron Weasley. I wore my owl earrings and borrowed her Neville Longbottom "My Hero" t-shirt from the "Order of the Phoenix" era. Every screen at the theater was showing HP last night/this morning. Everyone ranging in age from small children to grandparents showed up for this final farewell to The Boy Who Lived. We did a double take when someone dressed exactly as what my sister has dubbed "Classy Malfoy" walked by. He even won the costume contest in theater 4. The Top 3 costumes in that screening were Draco Malfoy, Ron Weasley and The Sorcerer's Stone. To pass the time, we sang a rendition of "Gotta Get Back to Hogwarts" with some super cool fans we met. Soon, the wait was over and we were all proud to say that we stayed with Harry until the end. Mr. Potter, it's been a pleasure knowing you. -Brittney [+] add comment |
