Little Hands Head to the Farmers' Market We came back from Chicago on a cloud from our second honeymoon, and the best part was that we came back Thursday night. That meant only one week day between us and the weekend. Perfect planning. The letters and treats in the mailbox were a HUGE hit. I'm so glad we left something visual to help her connect where we were. So, Friday came and went with some settling back into routines, and then Saturday morning came. Each Saturday, there's only one place we want to be (especially London), and that's the ASU Farmers' Market. I love being around all the fresh foods and flowers. London has an obsession with honey, which is something I totally support because of all it's amazing health benefits (and the fact that it's not candy or soda), and luckily for us, there's a vendor there each week that not only has local honey, but honey stix! Little plastic tubes of honey all different flavors. (Bet you didn't know you could get different flavored honey) Even if we don't buy anything else, we get some honey stix since you can get 5 for only $1. They also have fresh flowers, which I absolutely love and am still hoping to have a reason to buy a bouquet for mine or someone else's kitchen table.
I think one of my favorite things about the market is the different things
they have going on each week. This past weekend, they had the Humane
Society out there and London loved all the dogs they had on leashes. They
also had live music and free face painting for kids. It's just such a neat
environment and something you can just go to enjoy completely free if you
like. They're open 7 a.m. to noon. I'd personally like to be one of the ones
there at 7 or 7:30, but my children disagree, so we're lucky to make it
there by 10 if the baby is going. Luckily, now that it's July, the vendors
are bringing in so much that there's plenty to last for late visitors! It's
seriously my favorite place in Jonesboro. For us, it's the most enjoyable
and easy way to buy healthy and locally. Hope to see you there!
