News Taffy

School is out for students now and I hope you're having a fun first few days off! Lots of Celebrate Summer parties and frozen muffin making? haha This week, the fun has been spent on sidewalk chalk (though the sidewalk is getting increasingly hot, but we're working on a pvc pipe misting project and I'll share that soon.).

Our new favorite side walk chalk is paint! It's so fun and gives just a tad bit of "newness" to the sidewalk art that's great when kids are bored with the normal. It's simply equal parts of cornstarch and cold water mixed well. Then, if you'd like, you can add two or three drops of food coloring to the mix as well. We added a little red to make it pink which is what London requested. It goes on looking sort of thin, but dries darker like thick chalk, then rinses off with light water later. So fun and cheap!
