 Note To Self: Get Out and Play! Great Friday Jonesboro! Welcome to this week's From The Fringe. It sure is nice to have some sunshine come back this way. All the local courses have greened up and are in great shape. I only wish I was out there playing ... but I simply haven't had the time yet. With the wedding, the move and the new job my schedule just hasn't allowed "golf time" - maybe this week my luck will change (a man can dream, right?) Some local course info for you: Jonesboro Country Club - the Jonesboro High School Alumni Golf Tournament (originally scheduled for last weekend) has been moved to May 21st. Lunch is at 11:00 a.m. and teeoff will be at 1:00 p.m. Also, a reminder for those that will be in town for Memorial Day, the Memorial Day Scramble will be held on Monday, May 30th. Contact the Pro Shop for more details. Sage Meadows Country Club - Remember, the 3rd Annual Derby Days Golf Tournament will be held June 10th, 11th and 12th. Contact the proshop for details.
