Woodard Becomes Principal of Law Firm
Jared Woodard has been named a principal of the Jonesboro based law firm Womack, Landis, Phelps & McNeill , P.A. Woodard is a graduate of Jonesboro High School and also Arkansas State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2001. He joined the firm in 2004 as an associate after earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law. While attending law school, Woodard was a member of the Trial Traveling Team and competed in the ATLA student trial advocacy competition. He practices primarily in the areas of personal injury, commercial litigation, and health law. In 2009, Mr. Woodard completed the International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy at the University of Stanford, Palo Alto, CA.Woodard is a member of the Craighead County, Arkansas, and American Bar Associations. He is very active in the Jonesboro community serving as pro bono counsel to the Northeast Arkansas Humane society, and is a committee member for the St. Jude S’travaganza. Mr. Woodard also serves on the board for the City of Jonesboro Parks and Recreation and is a board member for the Arkansas State University Red Wolf Intercollegiate. In addition, he is a member of the Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce and a 2008 graduate of the Chamber's Leadership Jonesboro program. He and his wife, Lindsey, are members of First United Methodist Church of Jonesboro.
Womack, Landis, Phelps and McNeill, P.A. has a general civil practice with concentrations in litigation, business and tax law, business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, estate planning, administrative law, employment and regulatory law, product liability, and medical malpractice defense.
