St. Bernards Official Earns Fellow Status Brenda Million, vice president of women’s and children’s and perioperative services at St. Bernards Medical Center, has earned fellow status in the American College of Healthcare Executives. ACHE is an international professional society of 40,000 healthcare executives who lead hospitals, healthcare systems and other healthcare organizations. Its mission is to advance its members and healthcare management excellence through a network of 80 chapters that provide education and career development opportunities. Million earned fellow status and board certification in healthcare management by meeting a number of requirements and successfully completing a board of governors’ examination. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Arkansas State University and a master’s in healthcare administration from Kennedy-Western University. She has been on staff at St. Bernards since 1991 and previously worked as a staff nurse at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock and Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, where she also served as manager of the cardiac catheterization lab. Million is a member of Sigma Theta Tau (an honorary society of nursing), has been active in the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce, is a life and associate member of Junior Auxiliary of Jonesboro and has served as a board member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, the Arkansas State University Technical Center and the March of Dimes. In addition, she is a graduate of Leadership Jonesboro, has served as chairman of the March for Babies and is a former Jonesboro Business Woman of the Year. Million and her husband, Mark, have two grown children, Lauren Johnson of Jonesboro and Jonathan Million of Fayetteville. They are members of First United Methodist Church. [+] add comment |
